Everything you know, with a receipt for how you know it.
Capture notes, documents, and voice. CitedBrain pulls out the claims worth keeping, you approve them, and every one keeps a link back to the source it came from.
Free during early access. Web today; a capture-first mobile app is in testing.
How it works
Three steps. The middle one is what makes it trustworthy.
Most note apps store what you typed and make you go find it again. CitedBrain keeps the original, proposes what it means, and only remembers what you confirm.
- 01
Capture
Say it, type it, or import it. The original is kept exactly as it arrived — a voice note stays a voice note, a PDF stays a PDF.
- 02
Review
CitedBrain proposes the facts, decisions, people, and preferences worth keeping. Nothing becomes memory until you approve it.
- 03
Ask
Ask a question and get an answer built only from what you approved — with each memory it used cited underneath.
What you get
A memory you can trust because you built it, one approval at a time.
Sources are kept, not summarized away
Every claim traces back to the exact fragment of the exact recording or document it came from.
You have the final say
The AI proposes; you decide. Reject noise, fix wording, link the right person — your Brain never fills up with things you didn't sign off on.
One perimeter, one page that says so
Where every byte lives is written down in plain language and kept current with the code.
Plans
Free while we're in early access.
Bring your notes, your voice, your PDFs. Ask it things. Tell us what's wrong. Paid plans come later, priced on real usage rather than guesses.

Questions
The short answers.
- What actually becomes memory?
- Only claims you approve in the review queue. Extraction proposes facts, decisions, people, and preferences from your captures; you approve, reject, edit, or link each one. Rejected proposals never feed answers.
- Where does the original go?
- Into an immutable source ledger, exactly as it arrived — the audio, the PDF, the text. Transcripts and extracted text are derived sources that cite it; nothing edits the original after the fact.
- What does an answer look like?
- A plain answer built only from approved claims, with each memory it used listed underneath. Click one and you see the receipt: the claim, and the exact fragment of the exact source it came from.
- Can I keep some things out?
- Yes. The privacy perimeter lets you exclude categories — health, finances, beliefs, personal relationships, precise location — and the Brain drops matching proposals before they reach you.
- Where does my data live, and who touches it?
- One page answers that in plain language and is kept current with the code: where your data lives. AI processing runs in an account we control; no model vendor gets you as a customer. Read it →
- What does it cost?
- Nothing during early access. Paid plans will be priced on real usage — asks, extractions, storage — once we've watched how people actually use it. Nothing changes without telling you first.
