CitedBrain
Delete your account
You can delete your CitedBrain account, and everything stored in it, yourself at any time, from the phone app or from the web. CitedBrain is made by CrewChiefSteve Technologies, Inc.
How
Three ways to do it
In the phone appOpen CitedBrain, tap Settings on the Home screen, scroll to Account, and tap Delete account. Confirm, and you are signed out with the account gone.
On the webSign in at citedbrain.com → Settings → Account, open the security section of your profile, and choose Delete account.
By email, if you can't sign inWrite to steve@crewchiefsteve.ai from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We confirm it is your account and delete it within 30 days, usually the same week.
What happens
What is deleted, and what is kept
DeletedYour sign-in account, and every brain that only you belong to: captures, recordings, photos, documents, transcripts, proposed and approved memories, the audit ledger, the search index built from them, usage counts, and the phone tokens used for notifications. The deletion starts automatically the moment you confirm and runs to completion in the background, normally within minutes; it is not a request waiting in a queue.
Passed on, not deletedA brain you share with other people passes to another member, so their work is not destroyed with your account. If you want content gone from a shared brain, remove it there before you delete your account.
Kept by the store, not by usIf you subscribed to CitedBrain Pro, the App Store, Google Play, or our payment provider keeps its own record of the purchase as the law requires. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play as well, or the store keeps billing you.
Want a copy first?Export everything from Settings → Export on the web before you delete. Once the deletion has run there is nothing left to recover.
