CitedBrain
Terms
The plain-English version lives at where your data lives. This page is the binding one. Where the two ever disagree, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
Your content
What we commit to
1. Your content is yours. You keep all rights to the sources you capture and the claims you approve. We hold them to run the service for you and for no other purpose.
2. We will not sell or share your content. We will not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose your content to any third party, except to the processors named on the “where your data lives” page, strictly to operate the service, or where we are compelled by law.
3. We will not use your content for advertising. Not to target ads, not to build profiles, not to measure them.
4. We will not train models on your content.Neither we nor any processor acting on our behalf will use your content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine-learning model. We contract for this with every processor that touches your content; it is not left to their default terms.
5. Nothing is stored as memory without your approval.Automated extraction may only propose. A claim becomes part of your brain when you approve it, and every approval is recorded against the source that supports it.
6. You can export and delete. You may export your content at any time. On deletion of your account we drain the records holding your content, including stored audio and documents.
7. These commitments survive a change of control. If CitedBrain is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred, commitments 2 through 6 bind the successor. We will give you advance notice before your content is transferred and a meaningful opportunity to export it and close your account first.
